The first Interregional Conference on Information Security in the Ural Federal District «Infoforum-Tyumen» was held on April 23-25 in the Tyumen Technopark with the support of the office of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, and the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control of the Russian Federation.
The opening plenary session of Infoforum-Tyumen «Technological Sovereignty, Information Security and Cybersecurity in the Context of Digital Transformation» chaired by State Duma Deputy Ernest A. Valeev and President of NAIIS Boris N. Miroshnikov, focused on the topic of the vital need to ensure technological sovereignty in the field of information security. In recent years, both in the business community and at the state level, there has been a growing understanding of the importance of building a modern, sovereign and full-fledged system of protection against attacks from intruders.
At the same time, there is a growing understanding that the successful building of a system is only the initial stage: it is necessary to constantly develop and improve the information security infrastructure to always be one step ahead of those who seek to hack it.
As Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Oleg V. Khramov noted in his welcome speech to the participants of the Infoforum-Tyumen: «… in the context of global digitalization, the state needs an effective information security system, and for its functioning, qualitatively new, scientifically sound system solutions are needed.» To develop precisely these solutions one needs the consolidated efforts of specialists and experts who took part in the Infoforum-Tyumen.
The conference was attended by representatives of government agencies, heads and experts of leading Russian companies working in the field of information security. Over the course of two days, more than 10 thematic sessions discussed current issues, problems and challenges of information security, including such topics as the use of trusted artificial intelligence, the introduction of import-substituting technologies, the specifics of training specialists and increasing the level of digital literacy of general public. The conference organizers and session moderators thank the esteemed participants for their informative reports and interesting discussions, and invite members of the scientific and expert community to participate in the upcoming thematic events.
