On April 8, 2026, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the International Telecommunications Academy (ITA) was held at the Trade Union Palace of Labor. The event brought together representatives of the industry research community and partner organizations. ITA Vice President Anatoly G. Nazeikin chaired the meeting. NAIIS was represented by the Director-elect Igor A. Malyshev.

Over the course of presentations participants discussed main areas of activity of ITA, including training of talent in telecommunications, postal communications and radio engineering, current status and prospects of satellite communications development, and the international standardization of telecommunications. In his welcoming remarks, Artur R. Lyukmanov, Director of the Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cooperation in Information Security, outlined the objectives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field of infocommunications.

During the discussion it was also noted that a recently signed Cooperation Agreement between ITA and NAIIS will enable closer cooperation between the two organizations on international information security.

Concluding the ceremonial meeting, commemorative medals were presented to mark the 30th anniversary of ITA. NAIIS President Boris N. Miroshnikov received an award for his contribution to the Academy’s work.
