
The regular meeting of the Presidium of the National Association for International Information Security commenced on June 2, 2026.
NAIIS President Boris N. Miroshnikov informed the Presidium that the Association had begun preparations for the 20th Anniversary International Forum “Partnership of State authorities, Civil society and the Business community in ensuring International Information Security,” which will take place on September 22-24, 2026, at the Main Building of the Diplomatic Academy of MGIMO (Ostozhenka str. 53/2, Bldg. 1, Moscow).
The theme of the upcoming Forum is International Information Security: Transformation of the World Order and Protection of the Digital Sovereignty.
Forum Motto: For a Peaceful Global Information Society.
The Presidium members approved the line-up of the Organizing Committee and the Working Group for the preparation and conduct of the Forum. The Forum program will be published on the NAIIS website shortly.
The NAIIS President informed the Presidium that the Association’s application for accreditation with the Global Mechanism on developments in the field of ICTs in the context of international security and advancing responsible State behaviour in the use of ICTs had been approved. NAIIS plans to participate in the formats provided by the Global Mechanism. Particular attention will be paid to a substantive discussion of the international legal aspects of international information security, including the development of legally binding agreements and the promotion of the concept of the UN Convention on ICT Security.
At the Presidium meeting, in accordance with the mandate issued by the General Meeting of the Association in April of this year, a decision was made on NAIIS accession to the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation.
The NAIIS Presidium positively assessed the Association’s work in the first half of 2026 and presented recommendations for the further implementation of the approved Action plan.
