On June 8, 2026, NAIIS President Boris N. Miroshnikov participated in a roundtable discussion under the aegis of the BRICS Civil Society Council, “IT and AI in the BRICS Countries: Challenges and Prospects for Cooperation.” The event was held at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Moscow) in preparation for the 2026 Civil Society Forum, scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India. Boris N. Miroshnikov delivered a presentation “The Role of Non-Governmental Organizations in Promoting New Technologies and AI in the BRICS Countries in the Context of International Security.” The presentation was well-received and provoked a positive response from the participants. The results of the roundtable discussion will be used to develop the position of Russian civil society for presentation at the Forum in New Delhi.
