The National Association for International Information Security (NAIIS) was established on April 10, 2018 to promote the implementation of the Russian Federation’s policy in the sphere of International Information Security (IIS). It unites individuals and legal entities involved in the organization and provision of the IIS.

Main activities and projects

  • Together with federal executive authorities and interested organizations, participates in the formation of a system for ensuring the sustainable functioning of global and national information infrastructures in the interests of the state, society and citizens.
  • Participates in the formation and improvement of the Information Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation.
  • Conducts international and domestic events to support the implementation of Russia’s policy in the sphere of IIS.
  • Carries out research projects on various aspects of IIS independently and jointly with international experts.
  • Members of the Association participate as part of Russian delegations in bilateral, multilateral, and regional negotiations and consultations on IIS.
  • Has cooperation agreements with leading universities in Russia and organizes competitions for the best student research papers on IIS, conducts internships for students and postgraduates.
  • Members of the Association participate in the training of Russian and foreign specialists in the field of IIS.
